The Equal Skies Charter mission is to build a world where people with a disability have equal access to the benefits and opportunities provided by aviation and aerospace industries. The charter aims to increase the amount of people with disabilities working in aviation and aerospace and ensure that their lived experience is used to improve the sector’s services.
The Equal Skies Charter is an industry-driven initiative, calling on all aviation sector members to sign-up to a set of principles and behaviours that promote inclusion for people with disabilities.

The Equal Skies Charter really took off last week with its first successful conference - Boarding Now: Destination Equal Skies 2024 - held at the London law firm Shoosmiths.
This trailblazing event was well attended by HR professionals across the aviation industry and successfully built upon the charter's work to improve employment outcomes within the aviation and aerospace industries.

A pioneering UK conference to enable aviation and aerospace businesses to make the most of an often untapped pool of talent among people living with a disability is being held in London next week.
Boarding Now: Destination Equal Skies will look at positive examples of where disabled people have been incorporated into the workforce, and will include a workshop on Heathrow Airport’s journey to becoming a disability confident employer.
